Did you know that The Lindy Hop, also known as the Jitterbug, was popular in Harlem during the 30s? Doesn’t this group of people look like they are having an enjoyable evening? Miguel Covarrubias was well known internationally as a caricaturist, illustrator and writer. He worked in Europe, Africa, the United States and the Orient as both artist and archaeologist. While living in this country, he was Director of the Department of the Dance at the National Institute of Fine Arts.
