| Richard Robishaw was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1950 and graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art.
He developed an interest in the arts in grade school and was also influenced by his aunt, Mabel Sawyer. Clay was Robishaw’s primary medium, but he had a love for the Theatre and often helped the Canal Fulton Theatre by creating stage settings and overseeing the lighting.
In 1988 Robishaw passed away at the young age of 38 from Aids.
